Hello! I’m Katie.

I’m a former Learning Delivery Specialist (aka Trainer) for Corporate America turned full-time stay-at-home-mama! A Glimpse at Grace is the small spot on the internet that I’ve claimed as my own to share my escapades in parenting (and marriage), love of food, journey to wellness for mind, body, and spirit, and compulsive need to plan & organize. So if you’re into any of those things, too, then you’ve stumbled into the right place! Let’s be friends!

I chose to focus on Grace because it’s so prolific, at least in my life. I ask for it, I grant it to others, and sometimes, those times so few and far between, I embody it. It’s also my middle name. And my Grandma’s middle name, and my Nana’s first name. It’s been mine from the beginning, in so many ways. And here, in this little chunk of the blogosphere, you can have it, too. Friends, let this be a fun and safe space to learn and share, and let’s walk together.

A Glimpse at Grace is a place where we can talk about how hard and awesome being a mom is. It’s a place where we can talk about how marriage requires real, intentional work. It’s a place where we can talk about the five best meal kits to make for a friend who just had a baby or who is homebound and recovering from a recent surgery. It’s a place where we can talk about how it soul-crushingly exhausting it is to create true and lasting personal growth, and/ or we can talk about how I really wanna to lose 3 pounds (and if you didn’t get that Mean Girls reference, you can still sit with us!). This is a place where we can talk about how easy it is to spend $300 on stickers for your planner on Etsy and how satisfying it is to finally re-organize your pantry. We can talk about all of it, and be real honest about it, because that’s what Grace is for.

I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan with my husband Jeff, our two beautiful kiddos Sam (December 2018) and Hannah (October 2020), and our golden retriever Wrangler (June 2016 – come on, people, he’s the OG baby). I’m fluent in sarcasm and sass, I use the word “particular” to describe myself when other people might use the words “high-maintenance” and I’m a work in progress. I am an avid Netflixer, podcast listener, and shower-singer. I am fully aware of the irony of buying “weight management” dog food and turning right around to give Wrangler a chicken nugget. I started my own weight loss journey in July 2019 and document it thoroughly on my Instagram (if you’re into that, please check it out). I view vulnerability as being brave and I think the only way to love others is fiercely.

If you find something that you like, please leave a comment on the post and let me know what you loved about it! Share whatever it is you like with your friends and on your social media. Tag me on Facebook and Instagram @glimpseofgrace so I can see what you’re up to! Make my day! Also, you can subscribe so you get updated when I update.

I can’t wait for you to get a Glimpse at Grace!
